Overview

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1199, by Hylgith vyim Rolɑrtɑeplə˞rd. The establishment of Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Hylgith vyim Rolɑrtɑeplə˞rd struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed as a prison colony.

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of crampt split-log ties streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The political statment focused walls have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are smiling, quietly exchanging words with a friend, or simply enjoying the day as they work. It reminds you of an evening at home as everyone dined, having run out of things to talk about and embraced the savory meal before them.

Cultural Notes

While Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is long in Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed.

The Ramidreju near Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Iyuzeld Éxijo-zed's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Transmutation energies of tier 2 via oath swearing.
